Palatinate Museum of Natural History

The Palatinate Museum of Natural History — the POLLICHIA Museum — is devoted to the diverse nature of the Palatinate and its study, and is named after the long-established POLLICHIA natural science society. In the exhibitions, visitors can discover native flora and fauna, minerals, fossils and the geology of the region, from the Palatinate Forest to the Rhine plain. Especially popular with families are the aquariums and terrariums with living fish, amphibians and reptiles from stream, river and sea. Specimens, dioramas and interactive stations bring the habitats of the Palatinate to life and invite visitors to marvel and explore. Changing special exhibitions, talks and activities for children make even a repeat visit worthwhile. So the museum is an educational and at the same time entertaining destination for young and old — ideal in rainy weather too.
