Bad Dürkheim with Kids

The day begins at the Dürkheim Giant Barrel — the largest wine barrel in the world, one you can walk right into. Right next to it, the Dürkheim Ferris wheel turns at the Wurstmarkt grounds. Big things for little explorers and a jaw-dropping start.
Tip: The Ferris wheel mainly turns during Wurstmarkt time in September — otherwise the view of the festival grounds is worthwhile.

The POLLICHIA Palatinate Museum of Natural History shows aquariums and exciting Palatinate nature themes — from the animals of the Palatinate Forest to the underwater world. Vivid and child-friendly, an educational stop that delights even in the rain.
