Graduation tower restored: brine inhalation in the spa park is back
After restoration work, the brine trickles down the blackthorn walls again — the graduation tower in the spa park is back as an open-air inhalatorium.
One of the largest open-air graduation works in the Palatinate is fully operational again after extensive restoration work. In the spa park of Bad Dürkheim, the salty brine now once again trickles over the metre-high blackthorn walls, enriching the air with a fine salt mist. The resulting open-air inhalatorium is considered beneficial for the respiratory system and turns a stroll along the structure into a small spa experience. During the works, rotten timber structures were renewed and parts of the blackthorn bundles replaced. With this, the town underlines its status as a spa and health resort. The area around the graduation tower is freely accessible and invites visitors to linger all year round.
